When restoring a priceless piece of Indiana history, extreme care must be taken to insure a successful lift. Lady Liberty has been standing atop our Soldiers and Sailors Monument for well over a century.
When it became apparent that a major rebuild of our proud lady was due, Tway Lifting Products was contacted to furnish the lifting slings and the statue restraint systems used in the removal process. This 10 ton bronze beauty in all her glory sits 284 feet above the streets of Indianapolis. (15 feet shorter than NYC’S Statue of Liberty by the way) After months of repairs and reconstruction the beautiful bronze goddess was lifted back onto her limestone obelisk by R.H. Marlin Crane Rental.
